Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and news reporter with WPDE-TV. Later, she worked at WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. O'Dell's articles in Charleston on how Charleston police handled DUI cases in a manner that was lenient, caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division. This investigation led to a more strict directive for state authorities. According to the Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the year award for the entire South Carolina media. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. O'Dell is the anchor of choice at Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor to NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows for The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
